| 内容記述 | The regional urban system has greatly changed during the period of high-economic growth in Japan. One remarkable change has been in the network system. The local regional network systems have become linked together and now the national urban network system is complete. The locational patterns of the retail and the wholesale functions have greatly changed in this process, too. The purpose of this paper is to clarify the locational difference between these functions in the central place system. There are three key concepts in this comparative study: hierarhical orders, size differentials and the W/R-ratio. The basic data in this paper derive from the annual amount of sales, the number of sales workers, and the number of shops. | |||||||||||
