| 内容記述 | This paper gives the results of a survey about the ability required for foreign students in the Faculty of International Studeis of Culture at the Kyushu Sangyo University. The survey asked students to write about their background in Japanese language studis, to evaluate their ability in Japanese, and to write about any problems they have understanding or performing their studies in college. The survey also asked students to explain how they deal with the gap between their ability in Japanese and the Japanese required for their studies, and to note any requests they have for their Japanese classes. The results of the survey show that the foreign students have trouble understanding and taking part in abstract and thechnical discussions and that they also find it hard to say suitable expressions in daily conversation. | |||||||||||
