| 内容記述 | Six male subjects were examined to assess the relationship between exercise-induced activation and the endurance of a fatiguing isometric handgrip contraction at a tension set at 60% maximal handgrip strength. Activation was altered by treadmill walking and running at a heart rate varying from 60 to 180bpm. In all subjects, there was a heart rate above and below which isometric endurance decreased markedly: the difference among the individuals was attributed solely to the length of their sports experience. The optimal performance was recorded at a higher heart rate (i.e. ca. 115bpm) by the subjects with more experience in sports than by the untrained. Associated physiological variables (ventilation and oxygen uptake) yielded an inverted-U curve. | |||||||||||
