| 内容記述 | The aim of the underlying research project is to develop a model to construct a merger database and test its usability. The bases of merger activities in Japan are human capital, assets and money. The model should therefore include also managerial aspects, like the CEO, the production and sales capability, the loan and stock hold rate and so forth. The characteristics of the research project described are that the historical development a company experienced before the merger is also included in the model. Companies can, for example, merge with partners that invested heavily in the past or outsourced major parts of their business. Other companies merge with companies which do not only involve in one business field, but various ones at the same time. All these aspects can be included in the model, because their influence is relevant for the outcome of the merger activity. Based on this model a database can be constructed and canonical correlation analysis can be applied using the data. This database is therefore an efficient tool which supports the necessary continuation of the analysis of Japanese company merger activities. | |||||||||||
